1986. I grew up in Hillsborough, Sheffield. Born in the Northern General Hospital. Weighed 8 lb 13.5 oz.
1993. Start school. Good at English, running, and climbing trees.
1997. After leaving Marcliffe Primary School I attend Wisewood Secondary School, came out with seven G.C.S.E.'s.
2002. Loxley College, started my two year Fine Art National Diploma. Painted. Took and developed photographs. Final project: War Memorials. Finished with a Distinction.
2004. Decided on Wolverhampton University, doing a degree in Illustration, took more photographs. Met Emily. Stayed a year. Worked for a Sheffield engineering firm during university
breaks (AET).
2006. Leave Wolverhampton after feeling un-inspired and generally fucked off. Back to Sheffield for the summer. Met Vicki. Continued with Illustration at Lincoln University, felt very out of my depth. Studied hard. Took more photographs. Drew. Got inspired: Saul Steinberg, Robert Frank, Peter Saville. Final project: A Book for the Recently Depressed, came out with a First Class Honours in September 2008.
2008. Graduated in Lincoln Cathedral. Offered a work placement with Topman Design in London. Lived in Hackney for a month during work placement.
2009. Looking for graduate jobs whilst book making/engineering/illustrating/wedding photographing.
